Good Morning Phil,
ReplyDeleteI learned the following:
Blind, Visual loss, Legally Blind - Sense of sight, causes, cataract. Also, the blind using the Assistive Technology such as the Braille etc. The transition from school to work as you mention starts in middle school at age 13-14 years in the middle school students get self help skills, high school vocational school. I learned that they can be transition to maybe career path, college prep once implemented at GPSS. I learned that if your classmate is legally blind on how to interact with him on your first meeting. He must hear your voice to recognize your voice, know you first.
The transition from school to work was interesting to learn that is vocational skills, into to a program at U.O.G. and summer school per our class discussion by Matsue.
I enjoyed your excellent presentation on Visual Impairment. The video that you presented showed that you used the Assistive Technology with outstanding work. I learned from your presentation about the Visual Impairment.
Thank you for everything you do for our ED443 class.
